Each year our wee yellow plum tree got bigger and fuller. It always remained a dwarf, but was lush with juicy fruit. At first the plums were yellow and round
Then, as we became inundated with other fruit-picking the plums became pink and even more sweet and juicy. Each year our friends would come with their children and pick to their heart’s content.
We took our picture in front of that tree and used it in our annual Christmas newsletter The HoHoHo Times, as well as in several articles that Laurie wrote.
The tree was loaded for Laurie’s last summer, the fruit yellow with a
nice blush, big and mouth watering
This spring there were a lot less blossoms and I had a thought that like
myself the tree was in mourning, missing his laughter, missing his pure
enjoyment of that tree.
But there was fruit, not as plentiful as in years gone by but a very
very special gift….. There were 2 plums with an odd shape and
colour.
My Sweet Laurie,
Love you for Time & Eternity
Jackie

A heartfelt message; they are out there; I too have received them in other forms. Happy to know that others are feeling them too. NW
Thankyou for this Nancy. With each message of encouragement I’m hoping that someday this profound sadness that has overwhelmed me will lift.
