It all started with an orange,

It is actually a pretty clear memory, I was about 8 or 9 yrs old, it was a warm sunny day and some friends and I were playing outside.

My friend was sitting near me and peeling an orange. I sidled up next to her, took a deep orange scented breath, and realized that I felt happier. I didn’t understand why at the time but I decided I loved the scent of an orange being peeled. It kind of stirred something inside of me.

It was many years later I understood the influence essential oils have on our brains and my love affair with essential oils grew to become quite passionate.  I was blessed to work with an amazing woman, Karen Dyck who shared my passion, the difference was that she was an extremely knowledgeable woman, an aromatherapist, an herbalist and a master perfumer.

My beautiful friend shared her knowledge selflessly with me, even sharing some of her recipes that took her years to perfect. I am eternally grateful to Karen.

Fast forward many years, I’ve taught myself how to blend essential oils and formulate natural skincare products. This is my passion. I’m fascinated by what nature provides us and educate myself on the native plants and their benefits.

I chuckle at the woman I have become.

The young, insecure girl who knew the price of everything but the value of nothing is no more. I now look at this beautiful planet in awe and wonder. I am choosing to live more simply and take great pride in doing it or making it myself.

No skimping on cheap fillers here. My body butters contain high quantities of Shea and Cocoa butters, grapeseed oil, raspberry seed oil, aloe vera, lactic acid, silk peptides and manuka honey. The high content of natural butters offer some sun protection as well. I use fragrance oils in my body butters but rest assured they are phthalate and paraben free. Moisture, nourishment and protection for 24 hours.
Choose from luscious scents such as Lemon, Coconut Vanilla, Okanagan Summer (citrus), Mystique(a little patchouli like), Warm Amber (Sensual). Warm Amber is my most popular scent.
