Patryka Designs is a women’s fashion boutique featuring an excellent array of local, national and international clothing lines in sizes 4 to 18 (regular and petit) hand-picked by owner Patricia Jeffs and manager Danielle Ford. Our boutique’s unique ambiance is a fusion of Vancouver Island culture and Mediterranean décor where you will find beautiful local brands like Chloë Angus, Canadian brands like Cotton Country and Simply, much-loved international brands like FDJ and Joseph Ribkoff, and so much more.

A Fashion Mosaic of Ancient and Modern Culture.

Since before she can remember, Chloë Angus has held a deep appreciation for Indigenous art and culture. Coastal First Nations people were her neighbours during her formative years in the small fishing village of Egmont on B.C.’s Sunshine Coast.

And when she moved to Vancouver, reverence for First Nation’s artistic traditions catalyzed into her namesake fashion brand – an elegant clothing line which celebrates the iconic beauty and power of their craft.

“I had to share their art with the world,” she says. “I wanted to create a truly collaborative spirit – a platform upon which indigenous and non-indigenous people could agree together for more meaningful conversation and celebration.”

Chloë worked with world renowned Haida artist Clarence Mills which “gave me an opportunity to delve into the world of art to learn how it works.”

After a few years, she went back to school to study fashion design. “Another passion I’d always held,” she laughs. Once she graduated, she sought to marry her love of fashion with her uniquely West Coast design aesthetic in order to create an extraordinary clothing line for women.

She succeeded.

Collaborating with First Nations artists, she spearheaded a fusion of modern textiles and traditional motifs of celebrated Aboriginal artists to create the Spirit Collection: an iconic, stylish line for busy women who want to look and feel elegant.

On a deeper level, her team of designers and collaborating artists helps facilitate a better understanding between Indigenous and non-indigenous cultures while celebrating First Nations art. Around the world, the unique Chloë Angus garments inspire pride in Canada’s mosaic of ancient and modern culture.

Chloë Angus Fall Line

PatrYka Designs in Mill Bay is delighted to feature the fall fashion lineup of this culturally iconic and gorgeous collection along with members of Chloë Angus’s team on Wednesday, October 2nd from 11:00 am to 3:00 PM. Mark your calendars and join us!

The 2019 fall lineup is a rich, smoky collection Chloë says “was inspired by the Vancouver skyline’s fifty shades of grey.”

“Plenty of grey undertones, smoky purple and beautiful vintage black burnout. It’s a little bit of Versace a bit smoky, a bit sensual, and very much a representation of a powerful woman in a powerful time.”
