The Presidential election campaign that is currently underway in America is truly frightening. How can a country that is so rich in so many ways be so bereft in moral and social leadership.
Scaremongering and appealing to the masses is nothing new. Hitler perfected it.
It’s easy to offer a rosy future with lies and innuendos.
It’s easy to inflame passion with rhetoric and no substance.
It’s easy to be smug and pompous when you already have everything.
“Tough on Crime”, started by Ronald Reagan, and emulated by many others around the world does not work.
The American’s have more people in prison per capita than any other country in the world. With the fortune that they spend on prisons and enforcement are their streets and society any safer?
The world needs compassion, education and understanding.
Balanced budgets are meaningless if the basic needs of everyone are not taken care of.
Any country with one child that is hungry and alone should not be pointing their fingers at others.

I think they should start all over because 4 years with either would be disaster.
I am truly astonished when the character of a person into account. Why do Americans think good things will suddenly start to emanate from a person given to lying, sexism, and xenophobia? I hope our neighbours to the south who support Trump take a second look. I think the man is actually dangerous.
Meanwhile, the lady who put 18 million cracks in America’s political glass ceiling last election broke through today. Hillary Clinton is now the Democratic Nominee for President. As such, she’s the first woman in history to achieve this.
