Rhonda has been in the Cosmetic Industry for 35 years now as a makeup artist and in cosmetic/skin care sales. She loves the business in cosmetics and still gets excited when new products come onto the market. Rhonda researches new products and ingredients voraciously, keeping up with trends. Over the years she has developed a love of natural ingredients and is passionate for essential oils. In her spare time, Rhonda formulates natural skin care products and essential oil blends.

Is anyone sick to death styling their hair?

That blow dry, flat iron routine can really take its toll, but it looks lousy if you do nothing.

I’ve recently been experimenting with my own hair. which is color treated, and naturally quite coarse and frizzy/curly.

After considerable research (cause I’m like that), let me share what I’ve learned about products to tame and soften coarse and curly hair.

Hair Serums, Yahoo!

Distributed evenly through damp strands,  serums coat your hair with oil and/or silicone polymers and seal the cuticle, protecting it from humidity.

The result is soft, shiny, frizz free hair.

There are sooo many to chose from: heavier, oil based formulas are great on dry coarse hair and lighter formulas are much better on finer hair.

One of the best tips I learned?  Don’t brush your hair.

That’s right, turns out brushing can stretch and snap delicate strands, especially when they are wet.  Opt for a large tooth comb instead.

If you wish to keep your curls defined, work your product through your wet hair then don’t touch it again.

No, stop, seriously, leave it alone!

Your curls will stay pretty, soft, bouncy and frizz free all day.

If your hair is fine and limp, a volumizing mousse worked into roots may help.

No one product is good for everyone but I will be happy to help you navigate through them and yes, I have my favorites.

Reminder:  We offer Ear Piercing and Makeovers for your special event.
